Reminder: CAA-NL-FL communication on board expansion, statutes and JCM 2020

**Reminder**

Dear CAA-NL-FL members,

We hope this email finds you well and in good health in COVID-19 times.

We have three announcements to make:

1) We would like to propose a new board member! Alex Brandsen from UL (https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/staffmembers/alex-brandsen#tab-1) has been requested to join the CAA-NL-FL board and help out with organising new events and updating our communication channels. Formally, a new member is voted on during the GM at the CAA-NL-FL event, but we would like to ask our members to allow this via this virtual announcement. We have set up an online vote, so we can see whether is general consent or not. 2) We updated our statutes to comply with the latest developments on privacy and ethics, and as well create the possibility for holding a virtual GM, as to be able to function without a physical meeting, and be able to propose changes such as made now ad-hoc in point 1). Again, we would like to ask our members to allow this once via this virtual announcement. We have set up an online vote, so we can see whether is general consent or not. 3) We are happy to announce our intent to organise, together with our German colleagues, a Joint Chapter Meeting CAA-NL-FL & CAA-DE at 3-4 December 2020 at Saxion, Deventer! We are fully aware of the uncertainties with regard to planning such events, and we will try to provide a virtual substitute in case we cannot arrange a physical meeting. For now, please save the date!
